Guide to complaints


This chapter aims to explain how the interaction of stakeholder, FMU, CB and FSC/ASI currently operates.  It is worth noting that parts of this chapter may need to be revised as a result of on-going organisational changes within the FSC. 

The whole issue is currently under an intensive review process, making it difficult to describe precisely how disputes are dealt with.  It is a challenge for the whole FSC network to adapt the existing rules to a new organisational structure and to improve them according to the needs of all members and partners in the FSC network.

This webpage aims to give stakeholders a better understanding of the general concept of dispute resolution within the FSC network, and the potential ways to interact.  We would like to encourage stakeholders to engage in the current dispute resolution review process.  As always, FSC welcomes constructive comments and we hope that this brochure will encourage you to input into the debate.
